Maryland school leaders do not call for Muslim holy day AP exam.

Montgomery County is the largest state school system, children have been able to enjoy an Eid day in years.

But on the holy day, next year, pupils will attend classes under three plans introduced by school officials from Montgomery— an event that created a surge of outrage and anger in the Muslim community.

Samira Hussein, the long-term advocate, said on the subject "It is profoundly misleading because we have been campaigning for so many years."This is a domestic problem," she said, urging others to report to the Board of Education. "This is not only impacting Muslim Montgomery County graduates. After last week's votes on the school board weighed up a similar petition by sending a letter on Friday to the college Board. This concerns Muslim students across the world.

Public schools have given days off on Eid holidays in New York, the largest school system in the country since. This week a spokesman said she saw no evidence of a transition of policy. A, she added, the pacing was not yet embraced.Speaker Jerome White said that generic solutions will be made available to resolve conflicts when they occur.

The Board also called Muslim leaders on Tuesday to discuss the issue, activists said. It is a non-profit organization that also has an SAT university admission test. Authorities from the college in Montgomery informed the College Board that their letter had gone out on Tuesday.

Late-testing opportunities for students who can not take AP tests on their schedule due to severe accidents, disasters, faithful holidays or other conditions are typically available.

In Montgomery, the AP scheduling issue makes what many see as a matter of fairness more nuanced. Most parents and advocates say that students from Muslim faiths should be treated similarly and that the significance of religious observances and community celebration should be emphasized.

The son of Potomac three, Hass Bashir, said that Muslim families had to come "begging" regularly for the acknowledgment of a holy day that is greater than that. Thousands of people worldwide rejoice.

"What is your instruction?   the inclusiveness?"The question was asked by Bashir. "While all other holidays are familiar to my boys, you claim to them that your religion has no meaning. Some identified how students were thinking— and the impact of their holidays."To normalize our faith, college observance of the holiday of the Eid is tremendously helpful.

Several citizens said that they wished the representatives from Montgomery had mentioned the study issue earlier so that they could have been on the College Board months ago. We also concerned that the College Board does not have time to convince school systems to determine schedules.

Adileh Sharieff, county parent and director of the Maryland Islamic Center, a mosque at Gaithersburg, said: "It is a very narrow opportunity to hit the College board on a domestic scale to make that change."

The leaders in the school system state their three plans for a calendar were preliminary papers that shape a foundation not a definitive date. The demand for Muslim holidays to be remembered dates back many years with more than-students in the different Montgomery School system. Students, parents and community members also raised the issue.

In their win, proponents said that the school board wanted a qualified educator day to coincide with a religious Eid day for the school's pupils. The dates for Eid holidays were modified from year to year based on a lunar calendar.

Muslim families have been asking for years why other religions are not holidaying.Muslim students may be excused on holiday absences, however, most families claim they don't want to miss education or drop behind in the classes, particularly those in high school. Notwithstanding holidays, some go to work.

In the years, it is now time off for other holidays, including the Monday New Year, which many asian families observe, and the Hindu holiday throughout Diwali.

The topic went beyond space, Student Iman Ilias, a student of the Walt Whitman High School, said. He remembered her failure at the Muslim student association of which she is co-chair, and the reluctance of her Muslim colleagues to participate.webokit.com
